What is Student Funding Board?
The Student Funding Board’s primary purpose is to allocate the ASCSU Student Fee approved by the Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System to student organizations for programming and to administer relevant provisions of Article VIII of the ASCSU Constitution. Additionally, the Student Funding Board shall assist student organizations in fundraising and discovering alternative income sources. Funding Board is a great funding resource for student organizations because it allows them to put on bigger and better events with only having to raise 10% of the money required for the event if they are not charging admission.
What will I gain from joining SFB?
As a member of Funding Board, you will get to meet many student leaders on campus and be informed of many events on campus. Also serving on the board, you will gain experience with reading, analyzing, and modifying budgets. At the end of the academic year, the student funding board also approves the ASCSU budget for the following academic year. If you are interested in campus events, gaining valuable business skills, having a say in where your student fee dollars go, or just serving the student body in some capacity, Student Funding Board is an activity for you!
