The position of Chief of Staff is half an oversight position and half a relief position. It is a oversight in the fact that the Chief of Staff will oversee the cabinet to make sure that it is running effectively and the goals and objectives of the ASCSU President and Vice President are being met. The Chief of Staff is also responsible to make sure that ASCSU is an environment conductive for all. Chief of Staff is a relief position in that it is a resource that members of ASCSU can use for help with projects, information, or guidance.

The position of the Deputy Chief of Staff is an oversight, relief and support position. It is oversight in the fact that the Deputy Chief of Staff will oversee the cabinet to make sure that it is running effectively and that the goals and objectives of the ASCSU President and Vice President are being met. The Deputy Chief of Staff is also responsible for ensuring that ASCSU is an environment conducive for all by being a resource that members of ASCSU can utilize as a support role.
