ABOUT THE BOARD

The Board for Student Organization Funding is an opportunity for registered Student Organizations across campus to seek funding for their events. For the 2012-2013 school year the Board for Student Organization Funding (BSOF) has $246,000 to allocate to the many community building, educationaland cultural programs on campus.

REQUEST A MEETING

The Funding Process

Funding Timeline:
  • If a single line item is greater than $5,000 the Student Organization needs to present to the board 6 Weeks prior to the event date. If all line items are less than $5,000 the Student Organization needs to present to the board 4 Weeks prior to the event date.
  • Student Organizations must submit the application to the Board for Student Organization Funding Chair at by Monday at 5:00PM to present to the Board for Student Organization Funding on that Thursday at 5:15PM
  • The Student Organization must set up a meeting with the Chair within 1 week after receiving funding. You may set up a meeting here.
 
To seek funding you must do the following:
  • Read over the Board for Student Organization Funding (BSOF) Bylaws for information regarding the funding procedure, funding guidelines, and the Board for Student Organization Funding operations. If you have questions or concerns please email the Board for Student Organization Funding Chair at Finance@ASCSU.ColoState.edu 
  • The Student Organization must set up a meeting with the Chair within 1 week after recieving funding. You may set up a meeting here.
  • Student Organizations must submit the application to the Board for Student Organization Funding Chair at by Monday at 5:00PM to present to the Board for Student Organization Funding on Thursday at 5:15PM
  • The Chair of the Board for Student Organization Funding will review your application and inform you if there are any concerns with it. You will receive an Agenda for that week’s BSOF Meeting by Wednesday at 5:15PM
  • A representative must come to the Board for Student Organization Funding meeting on Thursday at 5:15PM and present their funding request to the board. Please see presentation expectations for more information
       
  • If you receive funding you must request a meetingwith the Chair to further the funding process
Please Note:
  • Your Student Organization must be registered through the SLiCE Office
  • The event must be open to all Students
  • The Student Organization must contribute 10% of the total funding request from another source if the event is Free to all students
  • The Student Organization must contribute 50% of the total funding request from another source if the event is NOT free to students
