Structure

To help ASCSU function as a unified body, it is divided into three components, each serving a distinct purpose.

Senate
Representatives from nine colleges are elected by the student body to promote and represent student interests within each college. Senators serve as liaisons and voice the student opinion in college councils. Senators are responsible for researching, drafting and voting on legislation dealing with student issues in order to enhance the quality of education and life for both current and future Colorado State students. Senate meets Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm in the Lory Student Center Senate Chambers. All CSU students are encouraged to attend.

Executive Cabinet
The Executive Cabinet includes the student-elected president and vice president and their appointed cabinet. Cabinet members operate within departments and perform a variety of functions to respond to and serve the student population.

Supreme Court
The Judicial Branch is composed of seven justices who are appointed by the president and approved by the senate to serve a two-year term. Primary duties include upholding and enforcing the ASCSU constitution, working with university judicial affairs as a student voice, and serving as a staff member on the DAY IV university drug court team.

Additionally, ASCSU members sit on important campus committees like Student Fee Review Board and University Fee Advisory Board.
